Making a Reservation
Reservations can be made online, over the phone (802-626-3161). In order to guarantee your room reservation, a deposit equal to 50% of your stay is taken at time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon check-in. Please note we are unable to take personal checks at this time.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 3 pm – 7 pm and check-out time is 11 am. We are happy to accommodate early/late arrivals and late departures whenever possible; please inquire at least 24 hours in advance and we'll do our best to make it happen! Full payment is due upon check-in. We accept Visa, MasterCard and cash.
Standard Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled within 14-days of your scheduled arrival are subject to a a penalty charge equal to 50% of your stay. Reservations cancelled within 48-hours of arrival are subject to a cancellation penalty equal to the entirety of your stay. Penalties and fees are waived if the room is able to be re-booked.
Our cancellation policy may change at any time for any reason, at the innkeepers’ discretion. Typically, our cancellation policy will only change for special promotions, holidays, weekends, or other special events.
We include our cancellation policy in your confirmation email for quick reference.
Smoking is allowed only in our parking lots. We do not allow smoking anywhere inside the building, by its entrances, or by its gathering spaces. We charge guests a $100 cleaning fee for smoking indoors.
We accept children of all ages, however parents or guardians must supervise minors at all times. Please be courteous and understand that some of our guests are seeking respite from all their stresses, including work, home and children.
Most of our rooms can accommodate more than two people, despite our occupancy being based on two individuals. There is an additional fee of $20 per additional person per night.
Though we are happy to host (well behaved) furry friends, we have a pet fee of $25 to account for the additional cleaning associated with your dog's stay. Pets cannot be left unattended in the inn, and we do not permit dogs that bark excessively - we ask that you be considerate of our guests and our historic home. We ask that you pick up after your pet and note guests are responsible for all pet-related damages. We reserve the right to refuse a reservation with a pet at any time.
To ensure that your room is always clean, comfortable and welcoming, we will enter guest rooms daily to freshen bathrooms, empty the trash cans, and make the bed. However, we respect our guests’ privacy and provide “Do Not Disturb” signs for all of our guest rooms. If a “Do Not Disturb” sign is hanging on a guest room door, we will not enter the room. As part of our commitment to the environment, The Village Inn of East Burke proactively takes steps to lessen our impact on our environment. We will not change the bed linens, towels, or robes in a guest room until after a guest’s third night with us. However, we want all of our guests to have the best experience possible and will happily replace these items more frequently if specifically requested.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we only enter guest rooms to offer our daily housekeeping service by special request.
Any damages inflicted on The Village Inn property by guests (including persons visiting or staying with guests, as well as their pets) will be the responsibility of the person who booked the reservation. In signing your receipt at the time of payment upon check-in, you agree to make restitution for such damage set forth by the Village Inn.
