Stay and Play Package
Float Trip

We are building a restaurant next door.

George & Lorraine, your hosts at the Village
Inn, are offering a great Spring/Summer/Fall
package we think you will enjoy. Come stay
with us for any two consecutive nights, midweek,
(Sunday thru Thursday), up until
October 15th, and we will include an afternoon
or evening float trip around any one of the
numerous backwoods ponds in the area. This
package includes lodging for two, for two
nights, a scrumptious breakfast each morning,
the use of the Inns facilities and Jacuzzi, and a
2-3 hour float trip in the Drifter, our guide boat.
Call the loons, watch moose graze, bring a
bottle of wine, watch the moon rise and be
rowed to areas you didn't know exist. The cost
of this package is $275.00 for two. Reservations
are suggested. Come enjoy your home away
from home with out the chores. Longer float
times are available at $25.00 per hour or at
daily rates. Cameras and sweaters are a must.
Cheese platter, Fruit, Hearty Bread and
glassware included.

"The stay and play package was the highlight of our trip to Vermont.
East Burke is a charming village complete with everything you need.
The Village Inn has spacious rooms and delicious homemade
breakfasts. George took us 25 minutes out of town to a beautiful
pond in the woods. There wasn't a person around and it was quiet,
except for the occasional loon calling. We were rowed around the
sirene lake for almost two hours sipping wine, eating grapes and
cheese and being treated like royalty. Amazing how incredibly
romantic it was - peaceful music in the background made it seem like
you were the only two people on earth. As we got back to shore, the
water was so still that it looked like glass and the trees reflected
beautifully on the water. If you want to relax, unwind and rekindle
your love let George take you to the pond. It's the best boat ride we
ever had."
