Don't think for a minute it is a cold boring sport.

At 20 below outside, you'll be in your T- shirt, in the shanty at 80 degrees.
We catch Smelt, Perch, Lake Trout, Salmon,

Brown Trout, Cusk, Pike, Pickeral, and Rainbow Trout.

The Shanty

Warm and able to be moved by snowmobile this shanty will fish 3 to 4 comfortably. We cook hot dogs and beans or soup and sometimes fry a little of the catch. A great time for kids when marshmellows are added to the menu.

Lake Willoughby

Some serious fish come out of here. At 308 feet deep and 4 miles long this body of water has produced the Vt. State record laker. Rumor has it that in the last week in January 2003 the lake surrendered a 26 pounder.
